Sleep-fist
is almost certainly not a cult. It most likely does not practice
behavioral, emotional, or thought control, and probably does not
display excessive devotion or reverence for its leader – the
charismatic and enigmatic force of nature known to us as Wispin
Larkspur, High Oracle of Drowsy Mysteries. Likewise,
it is doubtful that Sleep-fist uses specialized methods of creating
suggestibility, subservience, and suspension of critical thought
within its membership. The concept of conversion to our group as
an emotionally charged experience that leads to a dramatic reorganization
of the convert’s life is barely applicable.
